Nominate Someone in Your Office for the Outstanding Workplace Contribution Award

The Outstanding Workplace Contribution Award is designed to recognize a member of a school district's business or human resource office who has made his or her district a better place to work through improved business office operations, human resource operations, and/or employee benefits. The purpose of the award is to recognize an individual who has made an outstanding contribution or developed a program which has improved business or human resource operations for the school district, or developed a program which has lead to better employee benefits. Possible examples: A person has worked to improve Business Office or Human Resource office operations by developing systems that create greater efficiencies; A person has worked in various ways to foster a greater sense of belonging in the district for all or certain groups of staff members; A person has worked to preserve or improve health care benefits for employees.

For active members of NYSASBO or nominated by active members of NYSASBO
Award Amount: $250 for the recipient and $750 for a high school student

Eligibility for the Outstanding Workplace Contribution Award: To be considered for this award, a nominee must be an active member or nominated by an active member and currently employed full-time in a school business management office or human resource office position. The total award of $1,000 is divided into two portions. The recipient receives $250 and a $750 scholarship is presented in their name to a deserving high school student. The person making the nomination should communicate in 500 words or less the specific outstanding contribution or program which this individual has made to the district. All members are encouraged to nominate someone who has made a significant difference to their district.
