OGS’ Eleventh Annual State Purchasing Forum
The New York State Office of General Services (OGS) invites municipalities, schools, hospitals and other entities who use state contracts to attend the Eleventh Annual State Purchasing Forum and Contractor Trade Show hosted by OGS and the Office of State Comptroller (OSC) which will be held on Wednesday, May 19th and Thursday, May 20th, 2010. The theme this year is “Surviving in Difficult Economic Times: Practical Purchasing Training.”
The Forum provides up-to-date information on new contracts and procurement procedures, an opportunity to network with employees from other agencies that face many of the same purchasing problems and challenges, as well as a Preferred Source Exhibition, a State Contractor Trade Show and a Government Gallery.
Both new and seasoned purchasing staff would benefit from attending this annual purchasing forum where a host of public purchasing experts gather together to provide answers to a variety of purchasing questions. The forum is a perfect venue for any staff involved in procuring goods or services for their agency.
Look for the Purchasing Forum registration at www.ogs.state.ny.us/register. Also consider registering on the OGS Purchaser Notification Service (PNS) where additional Forum information will be available. PNS registration is on the OGS website at:

Last year, typical attendee feedback included “Keep up the good work…Very informative, well organized…looking forward to next year…a very positive experience”. Comments like these energize Forum organizers to make the Forum bigger and better each year.
