Complimentary Webinar - New Medicaid Reimbursement Rules
When: Thursday, November 12, 3:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m., ET
Cost: FREE
Featured Speaker: New York State Medicaid Inspector General James G. Sheehan
By December 1, districts that receive Medicaid assistance because they order services or supplies or receive reimbursement, directly or indirectly, or submit claims for at least $500,000 in a year must certify they have a Medicaid compliance program in place. Otherwise, they risk losing all Medicaid funding. While not required, it is recommended that districts not meeting this threshold also adopt such a program.
The requirements of a Medicaid compliance program directly impact a wide range of district governance and operational activities.
The New York State Medicaid Inspector General has graciously agreed to conduct a complimentary webinar on this important topic and walk districts through this complicated process.
This is an event that school board members, superintendents, and relevant members of their staff should not miss to ensure they can both serve the interests of children receiving Medicaid covered services and avoid legal liability.
