Each year school districts will take advantage of a unique blend of practical experience, analytical skill, and exceptional knowledge by engaging the services of NYSASBO for the purpose of conducting an on-site study, examination, or assessment. NYSASBO offers to districts of all sizes the opportunity to customize a program of activities in response to their needs - from the broadly defined comprehensive study to the more specific or issue related micro-assessment.

A comprehensive study typically results in a written document which contains a significant level of detail relative to data collected, observations, report of findings, recommendations, rationale, and implementation strategies.

A micro-assessment may also be done relative to specific needs by focusing attention on a selected process, issue or procedure. Less costly and limited in nature, these studies provide a brief report and faster response time and can often be used as a bridge to a more comprehensive study.
