NYS Police Special Victims Unit Sponsoring a National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest
NYSASBO has been requested by the NYS Police Special Victims Unit to assist in the distribution of the following information relating to the National Missing Children's Day Poster Contest, in hopes to heighten awareness of issues such as child abductions. This contest is for 5th graders across the state. We ask that you forward this information on to your District Superintendents and elementary schools in your district. Thank you for your assistance. Keynote Speaker Announced for 2010 Annual Conference

NYSASBO is pleased to announce Susan Fletcher, Ph.D. as the keynote speaker for the 2010 Annual Conference in Saratoga Springs, June 6-9. She will be speaking on Monday morning, June 7.
About Dr. Fletcher
Susan Fletcher, Ph.D., a practicing psychologist, is a recognized expert in the areas of productivity, performance and leadership development. Appearing frequently as an expert in television and print media, Susan’s Smart Zone techniques have been the basis of presentations across the country and can be applied to a variety of topics to arm people with the skills to meet today’s home and workplace challenges. The career services section is important to individual members, school districts, and companies. Members can browse job vacancies posted by school districts and companies in addition to posting career profiles where school districts can seek and search for the perfect candidate for a position. Through the career services section of the website, members can access information on the School Business Management Institute, the Mentoring program for new School Business Officials, Awards and Scholarships, as well as access to information on our Legal Assistance program.
Submit your Salary Survey by December 31st
NYSASBO has been conducting a survey of the salaries paid to school business officials since 1988. The information you provide on this survey, compiled with those of hundreds of others, allows us to present an accurate reflection of the compensation paid to school business officials across the State. The results will assist NYSASBO in its efforts to provide a more informed and effective representation of the profession.

The main sections of The Reporter Blog are posts usually created by Steven Van Hoesen, NYSASBO Director of Government Relations & Professional Support Services that include news that is extremely pertinent to school business officials, as well as sections for other news In The Media, Reporter Magazine Feature articles, and State Agency Information. Posts to the Reporter Blog are fed into the daily NewsWire as well.
